Roger K. Mattingly

Mr. Roger K. Mattingly, a longtime resident of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the age of 79. Roger was born to parents Charles and Ruth Mattingly on October 1, 1936 in Grand Island, NE. He grew up as the eldest of five.

Roger attended the University of Nebraska and obtained his undergraduate degree in botany. During college was a member of ROTC at the University of NE and once graduated served seven years in the United States Army. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Captain. Once his Army career ended Roger attended Indiana University and obtained his MBA. He then served as an Investment advisor for Hilliard Lyons in Indianapolis IN for over 35 years.

Roger is survived by his son Brian Mattingly and his grandchildren Anne Marie and Samuel of Fairfield, OH. He is also survived by his sisters Royal Gunter of Maryland Heights MO and Rhonda Rhea of Fort Worth TX.

Roger Mattingly will be cremated and a private family service and ash scattering will take place in Estes Park Colorado.

The family is grateful for the condolences, but declines flowers and donations. In lieu of flowers Roger had requested donations to be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
