Ronald Paul Langdon

July 20, 1928 — January 19, 2004

Evangelist Ronald Paul Langdon, age 75, of Fairfield, OH went home to meet Jesus, his Lord and Savior on Monday, January 19, 2004. He was born in Chillicothe, OH on July 20, 1928 the son of Cecil and Frances (Routte) Langdon. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. On December 25, 1952 Ronald married Mary Frances (Robinson) in Huntington, WV. On February 2, 1968 he was ordained to the work of the gospel ministry. He retired from Roadway Express in 1994 after 20 years of service, while there he served as Highway Chaplain for the Teamsters Local 100. Recently he became a member of Hilltop Baptist Church, and previously was a member of the Landmark Baptist Temple since 1976.

Ronald is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Mary, his devoted children; Debra Langdon, Janet (Pat) Thompson, James (Tonya) Langdon and Ronda Perdue. He was the proud grandfather of 7 and great grandfather of 2. He was the dear brother of Rev. Charles (Ruth) Langdon of Flatwoods, KY, Vivian D. Pinkerton of Grayson, KY and Judy (Wayne) Freedman of Naperville, IL and cherished Uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 7 p.m., Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield. Visitation will also be Wednesday from 5 p.m. - until time of service at the funeral home. Visitation will also be held Thursday, January 22, 2004 at Tri-State Baptist Temple, South Point, OH from 9 to 10 a.m. with burial to follow. If desired, memorials may be sent to Hill Top Baptist Church, Fairfield, OH.
