Ronald D. Sunderland

Age 59 of Fairfield passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. He was born January 5, 1950 in Springfield, MA, the son of George and Doris (Hussey) Sunderland. On April 24, 1982 Ronald married Dawn Woleslagle in Lake Wales, FL. He worked as the manager at the Indian Springs Radio Shack.
Ronald leaves behind his wife, Dawn Sunderland; mother, Doris Sunderland; children, Ronald David Sunderland, Jr. and Kelly Schernekau; brothers, George, Robert and Glenn Sunderland; and grandchildren, Deonna, Danielle, Dana, Ron Eric, Luke and Madison. He was preceded in death by his father; and brother, Richard Sunderland.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. - until time of service (8 p.m.), Friday, February 27, 2009 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Richard J. Sunderland Scholarship Fund c/o Citizen Scholarship Foundation of Westfield, PO BOX 382 Westfield, MA 01086.
