Ronald "Ronnie" E. Dews
February 1, 1962 — August 6, 2017
Dews, Ronald E. (Ronnie), age 55, of Fairfield, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2017, after a long battle with complications of diabetes. Born February 1, 1962, Ronnie was a plumber most of his life.
He had a heart of gold, made friends wherever he went, loved tricking people (especially his niece and great-nephew), telling jokes, and making people laugh any chance he could.
Ronnie leaves behind his loving wife of 37 years, Lisa Dews; his sister, Clrissa Dews Crawford; his niece Torie Elliot (Brad Elliot), great-nephew Dexter Elliot and great-niece Zoey Elliot; and many other family and friends. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Shirley Dews, and his brother Donnie Dews; sister-in-law Janeen Glardon; mother-in-law Emma Gertler; and many other loved ones.
Ronnie’s wishes were to be cremated and for his life to be celebrated following his death. There will be a memorial held in Ronnie’s honor on Saturday, August 12, 2017, from 1pm to 5 pm at the VFW located at 465 Patterson Boulevard, Fairfield, Ohio 45014. The family would appreciate donations for either the final arrangement expenses or to Tri-County Extended Care, in Ronnie’s name.
