Rose Marie Emrick

Emrick, Rose Marie (née Cianciolo) went to Heaven on Friday, December 12, 2025. Rose was born February 26, 1937 (we finally know her real age) to Charles Michael and Lydia Lucille Cianciolo (nee Santoro). She was a 2nd generation birth in the US of Italian immigrants. In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her beloved husband Edward D. Emrick whom she married in May, 1979. Her finest times were next to him in the jeep, in the summer sun, going to festivals, restaurants, shopping destinations and taking country drives.

She is survived by the greatest loves of her life: daughter Susan Cook, grandchildren Andy (Lisa) Cook and Sydney Cook, and her great grandchildren Sophia and Chase Cook.

Rose is also survived by her dear stepchildren, Melanie Kloth (Joseph, deceased), Greg Emrick, Cathy Thompson (Brian), Steve Emrick (Laura) and Todd Emrick (Rebecca) and a host of step grands: Leah, Loni, Lacey, Joey, Kody, Trevor, Shauna, Cory, Sam, Alex, Brandon, Brittany, Heather, Brock, Cameron, Tyler, Madeline and Myles and scads of Step Great Grands. Step was just a word where love abounded.

Rose is also survived by her cherished sister Charlene Murphy, and her children. Cherished nieces for whom she was like another mother: Terry Holter, Jacqui Bauer, and Robin Reece and their children. Also, special ex son in law, John Cook and extraordinary neighbors who became like family, Kelly, John, and Lisa and families. Last, but certainly not least, she is survived by her devoted and much adored puppy, Chewy.

Services will be held at The Presbyterian Church of Hamilton January 10, 2026 at 11:00, Front Street Sanctuary. A Celebration of Life and everything Strawberry will be held immediately following across the street in the Court Street Sanctuary.
