CROTHERS

Ruby Francis (Price), age 81, passed away Saturday May 19, 2018 at Berkley Retirement Center. Ruby was born July 15, 1936 in Mullins, WV to the late Francis and Ruby Price.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul D. Crothers whom she married on July 3, 1969. Ruby is survived by her sister, Sue Williams; bother-in-law, L.T. Williams of Cynthiana, KY; their children, Julie Williams, Jeffrey Williams, Kenny Williams and Donna Williams. Ruby also had 9 nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her three step sons; Steve (Char) Crothers of Palo Alto, CA, Doug (Bonita) Crothers of Hamilton and Les (Sandy) Crothers of Hamilton, five grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.

Ruby was a lifelong worker, in high school she worked at the local movie theater as a ticket seller; as an adult she worked in Washington D.C. and Lexington, KY. After marrying Paul, they moved to Fairfield and she worked for Merrill Dow Chemical and Procter and Gamble from which she retired. Ruby Loved to work with cloth and thread. She owned five sewing machines and hundreds of projects from quilts to needlepoint and whatever project caught her attention. She also loved her church family at First United Methodist Church of Hamilton OH; Ruby held them all very dear. Ruby had one very special friend who was with her through all the years, Kathy Conrad and her husband Mark. Together they sewed, baked cakes, and vacationed together. Seldom is a friend of that level of love ever found. The family would like to thank the staff at Berkley Retirement Center. They showed respect and caring daily for Ruby and her family.

Visitation will be Friday, May 25, 2018 from 10-11 a.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., 45014. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Finfrock officiating
