Ruby Meeks

Ruby Meeks, age 70 of Fairfield passed away Wednesday December 21, 2005 at Hospice of Hamilton. She was born February 28, 1935 in Warrensburg, MO, the daughter of Fred and Mary (Olsen) Courtney. On March 13, 1954 she married Orville Meeks, Jr., in Washington, D.C. Ruby was a member of Landmark Baptist Church and enjoyed bowling and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Mary (Duell) Niebel, David Meeks, Patti (Michael) Butsch, Brian (Margaret) Meeks, Treasa (Dicky) Trotter, Melissa (Marion) Compston; brother, Leroy Courtney; sisters, Dorothy Poort and Jane Julian; and 10 grandchildren. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Steven Meeks; and brother, Warren Courtney.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday December 23, 2005 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield with Pastor Matt Holman. Entombment will follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., (TODAY) Thursday December 22, 2005 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
