Russell Hunley

April 6, 1934 — May 28, 2008

Born April 6, 1934 to Margaret and Lincoln Leib Hunley. He graduated from Hamilton High School in 1953. Russell work just out of high school until 1961 at Diebold. He then went on to work at Western States Machine Company from March 1963 to 1997, retiring after over 33 years of work. Russell was the record secretary for the Local Union 176 from 1966 to 1978. He married the love of his life Della Marie Hayes January 6, 1973, at the Presbyterian Church, in Hamilton.

Russell leaves two sons, Russell David (Shirley) Hunley, Jr. and Jerry Lee (Debbie) Hunley; daughter, Lea Ann (Steve) Haste; four grandchildren, Heather Hunley, Hannah Haste, Caleb and Nicole Hunley; many nieces and nephews; and devoted friend, Dave Bowles. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brothers, Robert, Earl, and Harold Hunley; sisters, Mildred Messeling, Ethel Jerginson, Lillian Cappella, and Marie Drury. Russell owned and loved many cats and dogs.

Visitation will be 9a.m. - until time of service (11a.m.), Monday, June 2, 2008 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield with Dr. John H. H. Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
