Ruth Evelyn (Johnson) Hundley

HUNDLEY Ruth Evelyn, age 81, of Fairfield passed away surrounded by her family on May 30, 2014; born on September 5, 1932 in Rockcastle Co., KY to Alexander “Ted” and Elnora Johnson. Ruth was preceded in death on November 11, 2002 by her husband of 51 years John B. Hundley. She is the loving mother of Juanita (Allen Gentry) Holden, Betty Sprandel, Marvin Alexander (Bobbi) Hundley, Loretta June (Joe) Livengood, John B. (Sandra) Hundley Jr., Judith Mullins, and Janet (Kevin) Wolfe; dear grandmother of Stephanie (Brent) Mason, Chrissy (Mike) Sester, Dawn (James) Higginbotham, Alex and Ryan Deller, Dennis (Tammy) Leneave, Jason Leneave, Joshua (Joyce) Leneave, Joey (Brianna) Livengood Jason Wolfe, Jenna (David) Ordway, Jacob Mullins, , Rose (Levi) Sheley, Korinna Lakes; 20 great grandchildren. Ruth is also survived by her siblings, Judi Johnson, Eugene (Linda) Johnson, Marilyn (Bill) Chasteen; brother in law, Ellis Mercer; sister in law Louise Johnson and Sandye Johnson; special friends, Chris Abraham, Jacque Perry, and Karl Schoenhoeft; numerous, nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister Beatrice Montgomery; brothers, Lewis “Buck” Johnson and Mike Johnson; numerous brothers in law and sisters in law. Ruth raised seven children and still found time to sew, quilt, garden both flowers and vegetables. She canned a wicked salsa, made the best peanut butter fudge, chocolate gravy and biscuits, and Ruth enjoyed her hummingbirds. Most of all her pride and joy was spending quality time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday June, 4, 2014 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014. Funeral service will be at 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
