Ruth Jean Lack

Ruth “Ruthie” J. Lack, 86, of Fairfield Township, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 31, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on March 6, 1939, daughter to the late Joseph and Mildred Locke of Finneytown, OH. Ruthie graduated from Mt. Healthy High School in 1957 and attended the Cincinnati Deaconess School of Nursing. She went on to spend her life as a devoted caregiver, serving patients at Christ Hospital, Drake Hospital, and Hospice of Cincinnati, where her compassion and kindness touched countless lives.

Ruthie had a gift for bringing joy wherever she went, her smile and warm personality lit up every room. Beyond her professional calling, she was a devoted daughter, wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and trusted friend. She cherished time with loved ones, whether she was tailgating sporting events, enjoying holidays, or traveling with family and friends, she was the heart behind countless gatherings filled with laughter, good food, and celebration.

Her family finds comfort in knowing her light will continue to shine in eternity, wrapped in God’s loving embrace.

Ruthie is survived by her soulmate of 43 years, Rich; her sister, Cheryl Stang (Richard); her children, Kimberly English (Eric), Michelle Cagle (Tim), and Michael Rough (Rick Bowlin); her grandchildren, Joshua, Sarah, and Meghan (Christian Little); her step-sons, Aaron (Bea) and Jason (Barby), and their families.

Services will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Northminster Church, 703 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231. A short reception will follow at the church.
