Ruth N. Stewart
October 22, 1948 — July 8, 2006
Age 57 of Fairfield, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2006, as a result of a one-car traffic accident in Milan, Indiana. She was born in Elliotville, Kentucky on October 22, 1948, the daughter of Eula (Elam) and Ottis Cox. On May 22, 1993, she married Gerald Stewart in Butler County. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John, Glenn and Carl Cox, and Clayton and Welcie Maynard; nephew Steve Cox.
Ruth was a member of the Princeton Pike Church of God. She was an ordained minister and enjoyed working with the Bobby Groves Homeless Shelter.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gerald; daughters, Gina Buchanan and Shari King; son, James Stewart; brothers, Robert and Jack Cox; sister, Linda Brigman; grandchildren, Bryan, Kevin, and Kiana Buchanan, Jessica and Jacob Mossburger.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 13, 2006 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Road, Fairfield, Ohio, with Pastor Barry Clardy officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Park. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Humane Society of your choice.
