Ruth Turner

TURNER

Ruth (nee Bowling) age 87, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday January 14, 2012. She was born April 2, 1924 in Manchester, Kentucky to James and Ida Bowling. She was preceded in death by brothers Arnold, Harold, Palmer, and Bill and sisters Eula and Lela. She is survived by her brother James Jr. (Donna) in Columbus, Ohio. Ruth attended Hamilton City Schools and worked as a nurse at Fort Hamilton Hospital for many years. She was loved by her patients for giving each special care and meeting their need with kindness and compassion. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Hamilton.

Ruth is survived by her son, Steve (Judi) of Hamilton and her grandchildren, Kelly (Brian) Saleeba of Fairfield, Kyle Turner of Charleston, South Carolina, and Mary (Tony) Corpus of Indianapolis, Indiana. She is also survived by her son Greg of Hamilton and grandchildren Regan Turner of Cape Coral, Florida, Carmen (Andrew) Craig of Jefferson City, Tennessee, and Aaron Turner of Tampa, Florida. She leaves 16 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday January 18, 2012 at The Avance Funeral Home and Crematory in Fairfield. Funeral services will be conducted by Dr. Dennis Metzger and Rev. William C. Brantingham on January 19, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
