S. Edward Bowling
October 9, 1937 — June 23, 2008
Age 70, of Hamilton, succumbed to his fight with cancer Monday, June 23, 2008 at Vitas Hospice of Dayton. He worked as a Regional Manager for the United Insurance Company and attended the First Baptist Church of Fairfield. Mr. Bowling was a member of Fairfield Eagles #3680 and Middletown Moose Lodge #501.
Edward is survived by his mother, Edna (Mason) Bowling of Hamilton; son, Samuel Bowling Jr. of Dayton; daughters, Miranda (Bowling) Blevins of Fairfield, Susan K. Sturgeon of Fairfield, Barbara A. Knisley-Herron of Cleveland and Robin Murphy of Dayton; sisters, Edna E. Jones and Geraldine C. Metz; many grandchildren; and devoted friends, Bobby and Janis Light. He was preceded in death by his father, Emery Bowling; son, Ronald E. Knisley; and sister, Myrna J. Miranda.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. - until time of service (11 a.m.), Thursday, June 26, 2008 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park, Hamilton. Memorials: Vitas Hospice of Dayton. Condolences: avancefuneralhome.com.
