Samuel Ray Hampton

Samuel Ray Hampton passed away July 18 at his home at age 69. He is survived by his wife Patty, son and family Troy, Brenda, Faith, Samantha, Hannah and Nathan; son and family Scott, Mandy, and Brandon; daughter Hiliary and son-in-law Josh Ruth; brothers Joe and Wes; and Uncle Bill Davis. He is preceded in death by his father K.C. Kenneth “Skippy” and mother Shirley whom he cherished deeply. Sam worked at Western States Machine Co until its closure and was subsequently employed at Mercy Hospital in security. He devoted his life in support of law enforcement having begun in US Air Force Security Forces after graduation from Taft High School in 1966. He was a regular contributor to the Buckeye Sheriff’s Assn and was a member of the American Legion and NRA. Sam’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends as a man who worked hard, was always willing to lend a helping hand, had a perpetual smile and a joke to share. Visitation will be held at 6pm, memorial service at 7pm, Friday July 22, 2016 at Avance Funeral Home, 4976 Winton Rd, Fairfield, Ohio 45014. Burial service for family will be conducted at 10am at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, Ohio, Saturday July 23, 2016.
