Seattie Marie Gase

Seattie "Marie" Gase of Fairfield, OH, beloved wife of Virgil C. Gase, Jr. passed away October 8, 2007, at Hospice of Hamilton. The fourth child of fourteen, she was born January 22, 1922, at Decoy, Knott County, Kentucky, to Lee and Rosa Belle (Miller) Stacy. Seattie was a former employee of Beeler Drug Store, Fashion Frocks, retired seamstress and homemaker. On September 4, 1942, she married Virgil Gase, Jr. in Brookeville, Ind. Devoted to her family, she is survived by four children, Edward A. (Diana) Gase, Fairfield; Charles R. (Betty) Gase, Antioch, TN; Pamela J. (Barry) Snyder, Clarksville, TN; Sandra E. (David) Burnette, Summerfield, NC. Eleven grandchildren, Adam C. (Michelle) Gase, PA; Bambi D. (Joshua) Oberer, Trenton; Corey E. (Ashley) Gase, Hamilton; Kristin V. (Michael) Jones, Fairfield; Bonnie R. Payton, TN; Amber K. (Jason) Blunk, Monroe; Aimee L. (Brandon) Morrison, TN; Matthew S. Millspaugh, TN; Eric B. (Brooke) Burnette, KY; Evan M. and Lee T. Burnette, NC. Ten great-grandchildren, Liliana, Morrigan, Elizabeth, Justin, Katie, Odyssey, Xavier, Richard, Bryson, and Avery. Other survivors are sisters Olive Bell MI; Louella Campbell, PA; brothers Lee Jr., Jesse, and Jerry Stacy all of IN and David Stacy of KY.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Pearl Simms, Dora Glassman, Vina Madura, Sylvania Haddix, Bertha Stacy; and brothers James and Sherman Stacy.

Visitation will be held at Avance Funeral Home at 4976 Winton Road in Fairfield from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday (Today), October 10, 2007. A private service for the family will be held at the convenience of the family. Pastor Tom Beckstrom of Covenant Community Church in Fairfield will officiate followed by interment at Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton. Donations are suggested to favorite charities.
