Sharon Farthing

Sharon (nee Oaks) Farthing, age 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday February 14, 2026, at Hospice of Hamilton. She was born on July 27,1937 in Stanton, KY to Chester and Gladys (nee Whisman) Oaks. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1955 and attended Southern Ohio College and Miami University Hamilton.

She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved children: Dennis (Lisa) Farthing, Randy (Myong) Farthing, Tim (Tonia) Farthing, and Mark Farthing; her grandchildren Rebekah Farthing, Jessica Farthing, Angela King, Samantha Farthing, Jacob Farthing, Nathan Farthing; her great grandchildren Aiden Remotigue, Avery Jones, Zander Finnigan, Keegan Farthing, Luca King; her brother Michael Oaks; niece Brandy Stenger, nephews Mike Oaks, David Oaks, and Philip Farthing.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Coretta Farthing, and ex-husband and father of her children Harvey Farthing. Sharon loved her work in the Fairfield City Schools and at Cincinnati Financial Corp.

She was always up for family gatherings (of which there were many) and she loved to paint and do crafts with her grands and great-grandchildren. She was devout in her faith.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Hamilton and Butler County Council on Aging for their loving and attentive care of our mother.

Visitation will be Friday, February 20, 2026, from 11:00am until the time of service (12:00pm) at Avance Funeral Home, 4976 Winton Road, Fairfield OH with Pastor Scott Fussnecker officiating.
