YOUNG, Shawntell
Age 36, of Monroe was called to heaven on Thursday, January 25, 2007 from her residence. Her death came suddenly due to a heart condition. She was born August 30, 1970 in Hamilton, the daughter of the late Bert Gabbard and Charlean Jordan. On June 12, 2004 she married Darrell Young in Trenton. She worked as a cosmetologist, instructing at a local college and later as a home health care nurse. Shawntell was the lead singer/keyboard player for "Jericho", a Christian band. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family and serving God. She was a member of New Life Ministries in Hamilton. All who knew and loved her will miss her loving and kind spirit.
Shawntell is survived by her husband, Darrell Young and siblings, Larry and Kenneth Smith. She was preceded in death by her father, Bert Gabbard and mother, Charlean Jordan .
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield with Pastor Gary Barrett officiating.
