Shelli Lynn Franek (Fairfield, Ohio)

On Friday, December 16, 2022 Shelli Lynn Franek, beloved daughter, sister, aunt and a friend to many, passed away. Shelli was born to Eugene Franek (Saginaw, MI) and Carol Franek (Chasteen) in Saginaw Michigan on September 3, 1970. She was 52 years old. She was baptized and confirmed in the Roman Catholic faith. She leaves behind her beloved cat Tonnie who she loved as her child along with his brother, V-man who died in August 2022. Besides, her parents, she is survived by her step-mother, Mary Crane-Franek, and her sister Shannon Franek,  step-brothers, Jeffery Urian and Gregory (Lindsay) Urian, Nieces, Tara Hering (Rob) Brooks, Anastasia Urian, Adriana Urian, Nephews, Nicholas Urian and Dawson (Marian) Carney. And, she is also survived by her precious grand-nephew, Brooks Hering.

Shelli lived in Saginaw County, later moving to the Metro Detroit area. She graduated from Lakeview High School, St. Clair Shores, Michigan.  Shelli went on to earn a Bachelor's degree, from Michigan State University '92 in Human Resources. She had an interesting career.  Recently, she received a promotion from her employer in Marketing Retail.

Shelli always took on the challenges of her work positions and spoke about how much she was enjoying her recent marketing job.   Shelli has traveled extensively in the United States as well as other countries. She lived full time in Australia for over 3 years where she traveled the six states comprising the country of Australia.  She also enjoyed reading, creative painting and DIY projects. She could write the most loving cards!! She knew how to put her words together in ways that were so meaningful, and left a person feeling loved and special! Her gifts were personal and so thoughtful. We all will remember her as a beautiful, good hearted, intelligent person! She was a light and her engaging and empathetic spirit attracted people to her. Her cat boys, V-man and Tonnie had her heart for 18 years!
