Age 61 of Monroe, died December 3, 2006. She spent her childhood in Dayton, OH. From 1960-1979 she lived in Middletown, OH and Monroe, OH. From 1979 to March 2006 she lived in the Tampa Bay, FL area, working in the food and beverage industry.
She was preceded in death by her adopted parents, Lawrence and Mary DeWitt and natural parents, William and Nancy Nichols; 2 sons, Daniel and Brian Blankenship. Shirley is survived by, husband, Willard Bjerke; son, Russell Blankenship; 4 grandchildren, Todd and Chad Matthews, and Jason and Samantha Blakenship; all of the Tampa Bay area; 10 sisters, Barbara, Bertha, Laura, Loraine, all of St. Petersburg; Linda, Jean, Patty, Peggy of Indiana; Lucille and Mary Ellen of Ohio; 1 brother, Larry Gene of Ohio; nephews and nieces, including, Theresa Kinyoun of St. Petersburg, FL; uncles and aunts, including, Clairebell Jeffries of New Lebanon, OH.
