Shirley Ann Phillips

Shirley Ann Graham Phillips of Fairfield, Ohio went to her heavenly home on December 28, 2012.

Shirley was born in Louisville, Kentucky on April 5, 1929 to Clifford David Graham & Lucille Sothoron Graham of Covington, Kentucky. She grew up in the City of Edgewood, attended the Cincinnati Christian University, and was employed with Cincinnati Bell. On June 29, 1951, she married David S. Phillips of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They spent 61 years in the ministry serving Churches of Christ in Ohio: Moscow, Peebles, Greenfield, Cincinnati, Fairfield and Pleasant Run.

She leaves her beloved husband, David S. Phillips. They became parents of three children: the late Timothy David, (Janna Quinn), Stephen Mark and Cheryl Annette Phillips Lyle, (Jeffrey). They made her grandmother of five: granddaughters, Abby Phillips (fiance, Chad Panton) Aimee Phillips Carter (G. Derek), Aubrey Phillips of Florida; grandsons J. David Lyle (Alison) of Hillsboro, Ohio and Reid Alan Lyle of New York, NY. She is also survived by a daughter through marriage, Laurie Grubbs of Florida, sisters, Margie Graham Stansberry, the late Norma Graham Neumeister, Joan Phillips Bergfelt (Ted) and Kathy Phillips Thompson (Rich) and numerous nieces and nephews, a much loved family and church family as well as abundance of dear friends

Visitation will be Thursday January 3, 2013 from 4-8p.m. at Fairfield Church of Christ, 745 Symmes Rd. Fairfield, OH 45014. Funeral services will be Friday 11 a.m. at the church. Condolences may be given at www.avancefuneralhome.com
