Stanley Hunter

Stanley Hunter, age 72, of Fairfield passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2006 at Mercy Hospital Fairfield. He was born April 13, 1933 in Clay County, KY, the son of Chester and Alice (Allen) Hunter. He was lifetime member of VFW #1069 and was also a Kentucky Colonel.
Stanley married Elwanda Wright on November 19, 1955 in Lawrenceburg, IN. They enjoyed over 50 years of marriage together. He retired from Lennox Trucking Co. in 1991 where he was a mechanic.
He is survived by his wife, Elwanda; son, Ed Hunter of Hamilton; daughter, Sherry Young of Fairfield; sisters, Littia Allen and Pauline Hunter of Cincinnati and two beloved grandchildren, Samantha Young and Brittany Young. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Forrest Hunter and sister, Irene Hopper.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Monday, February 20, 2006 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield with Pastor Rob Rosenbalm officiating.
