Stephen J. Brown

Age 60 of Fairfield passed away, Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. He was born October 24, 1947 in Hamilton, the son of Frank R. and Mary E. (Bennett) Brown. Stephen was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving his country in the Vietnam War. Also, he was a member of the Springdale Church of the Nazarene. Stephen never met a stranger and he will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
He is survived by his children, Melissa "Missy" (Denver) Thompson, Stephen "Andy" (Shelia) Brown, Timothy "Tim" Brown and Maria (Clint Baker) Brown; brother, Russell Brown; grandchildren, Dustin, Amanda, Payten, Joslyn, Cody, Kyle, Brooke, Katie, Jake and Lainey; aunt, Faye Bowling; and many friends, especially his church family. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, April 18, 2008 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield with Pastor Rick Harvey officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
