Suzann “Suzie” May, 72, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. Suzie was born on July 9, 1953, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Carl and Geraldine Leicht. From an early age, music was woven into the fabric of her life. A gifted professional singer, she had a beautiful voice that brought joy to those fortunate enough to hear her. Whether performing for an audience or singing at home, music was one of the many ways she shared her heart with the world. Above every accomplishment and every hobby, Suzie’s greatest passion was her family. She devoted her life to those she loved, creating a home filled with warmth, kindness, laughter, and acceptance. She had a gentle spirit and a welcoming nature that made everyone feel like family the moment they walked through her door. Suzie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael May, in 2016; her parents, Carl and Geraldine Leicht; and her sister, Sherry Knotts. She is lovingly remembered by her devoted companion , Terry Consider; her sister, Sandy Flick; her children, Carl May, Robert May, and Valerie (May) Fischer; and her cherished grandchildren: Natalie May, Brionna May, Courtney Josephs, Tyler Fischer, Luke Fischer, Peyton May, Ethan May, Landon May, Quinton May. Aspyn Vance, and Ace Vance. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and nothing brought her greater happiness than spending time with her family. When she wasn’t singing, Suzie enjoyed crafting, creating beautiful things with her hands, and sharing her talents with those she loved. Her Christian faith was an important part of her life and gave her strength, hope, and peace throughout her journey. She absolutely loved Christmas time, it was her favorite holiday . Those who knew Suzie will remember her wonderful sense of humor, her lovable stubborn streak, her kind heart, and the gentle way she cared for others. She had an incredible ability to make people feel welcome and accepted, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met. Among the countless memories she leaves behind, one story will forever bring smiles to those who knew her—her unforgettable 40th birthday celebration at Grandma and Grandpa’s farm. It was a day filled with laughter, family, and joy, perfectly reflecting the life she cherished and the love she shared. Suzie’s greatest legacy is not found in the songs she sang or the crafts she created, but in the love she gave so freely. She taught her family the importance of kindness, compassion, faith, and always making room for one more person at the table. Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in knowing her love will continue to live on through the lives she touched. Mom, Grandma, Sister, Companion , and Friend—you were our song, our comfort, and our home. We will miss your voice, your smile, your hugs, and your unconditional love every day. Until we meet again, may you rest in the eternal peace of our Lord, reunited with those who have gone before you. Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts.  Visitation will be held Friday, July 10, 2026 from 12:00 PM until time of service (1:00 PM) at the Avance Funeral Home, 4976 Winton Road, Fairfield, Ohio, 45014.  Burial to follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park.  www.avancefuneralhome.com
