Sylvia Joan Johnson August 17, 1964 - February 13, 2024 Sylvia Joan Johnson (Gardner) was born on August 17, 1964, in Fresno, California, USA. She passed away on February 13, 2024, at the age of 59 in Fairfield, Ohio Sylvia is survived by her beloved partner Alex Artemov, and her siblings, Martha Allen (David), Jeffrey Gardner (Shirleen), David Gardner (Lisa), Cyrus Gardner (Diana), Mary Boehmer (Jim), Margaret King (Pernell), and Debra Meier (Reed). She was preceded in death by her former spouse, Eric Howard Johnson, Mother, Joan Tolman Gardner, Father, Lynn H. Gardner, and sister, Julie Lyn Gardner. Sylvia received her education at Fairfield West Elementary and Fairfield Jr. High School. After she graduated from Fairfield High School, she got her license in cosmetology. She had a passion for learning and was dedicated to her studies. Sylvia worked many years for Hamilton County Family Services as a Case Worker and later as a Case Manager. She assisted many families in finding resources to improve their situations. For the last several years Sylvia worked for the Council on Aging, helping seniors apply for, and receive the benefits they were eligible for. She made a significant impact in the lives of many. Her dedication and hard work were evident to all who had the pleasure of working with her. Sylvia was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Pleasant Ward, where she attended services. Her faith was an important aspect of her life, providing her with strength and guidance. In her free time, Sylvia enjoyed creative activities. She was gifted at writing books and song lyrics as well as making homemade cards. She was also passionate about singing, running 5k’s, and caring for her many pets. Not only did she find joy in her creative activities, but they gave her an opportunity to give service and show love to her family and friends. The loss of Sylvia Joan Johnson leaves a void in the lives of those who loved her. She will be remembered for her kindness, love, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends.
