Thomas E. Glass

Thomas E. Glass, age 88, of Fairfield, passed away on Thursday January 15, 2004 at his residence. He was born in Sommerset, KY on June 16, 1915 the son of James and Dona (Walker) Glass. On December 29, 1947 he married Clara Fields who preceded him in death on September 23, 1997. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during WWII where he earned many decorations for his valiant efforts. He worked as a Equipment Operator for C G & E until his retirement in 1969.
He is survived by his sons, Thomas Glass of Cincinnati, and Frederick Glass of Fairfield; daughters, Brenda Appleby of Atlanta, GA, Deborah George of Nashville, TN and Beverly Bickers of Fairfield; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, January 17, 2004 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield. Interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Gardens in Milford. Visitation will also be Saturday from 10 a.m. - until time of service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
