Troy Eckles

Age 88, born March 21, 1922 at Confluence, KY, the son of Barlow and Nannie (Caldwell) Eckles, went Home to be with the Lord Monday, August 16, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Harlan, Estill and Morris Eckles; three sisters, Lassie Collins, Pauline Oliver and Lura Eckles.

Troy worked for General Motors for over 30 years. He was a member of the North Fairfield Baptist Church for the past several years. When he was a member of St. Clair Avenue Baptist Church, he served as a Deacon / Trustee, head Usher, on the finance committee and on the official board.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, June (White) Eckles. June and Troy were married June 1, 1942 in Pineville, KY. He is also survived by a large family of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Troy loved fishing and camping, but what he loved most was being in church and Bible studies, especially as his health was failing.

Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. - until time of service (2 p.m.), Friday, August 20, 2010 at the North Fairfield Baptist Church, 6853 Gilmore Road, Fairfield Township, OH 45011 with Pastor Mark Wilson officiating.
