Vernon "Rick" Lewis

Vernon Richard “Rick” Lewis, 72, of Hamilton, Ohio passed away peacefully on January 31, 2022.  He was ushered into his new life surrounded with song and prayer by his family and loved ones.  He was a devoted husband and father and will be dearly missed.

He was a faithful Christian and a founding member of Lighthouse Church.  He served in a variety of ways, but most of all, he enjoyed playing guitar and singing for the Lord.

He pursued many interests and was a gifted artist blessed with a talent for drawing, painting and woodworking.  His favorite hobbies included traveling with family, primitive camping, photography, and exotic fish and birds.

Rick was preceded in death by his father and mother, Bobby and Irene Lewis; his brother Joseph Horvath and sister Juanita Jones.  He is survived by his wife, Linda, his four children: Elizabeth Whitt, Jacob (Sarah) Lewis, Jaysen (Shannon) Lewis and Kathryn (Nathan) Smith along with his five beloved grandchildren: Sean and Patricia Whitt, Holden Lewis & Kyla and Linkyn Smith.

Visitation will be held at Lighthouse Church located at 7061 Sparks Lane, Fairfield Township, OH 45011 on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 5:00pm-6:00pm with a memorial service immediately following.  The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider donating to Lighthouse Community Church in Rick Lewis’ name.
