Virginia Ann "Jinny" Bevenger passed away Saturday, August 13, 2005 at Ft. Hamilton Hospital. Born in Toronto, Ontario October 10, 1936, she was the daughter of Ruth and Lionel Fleming. A Graduate of Germantown High School, Career Academy School of Broadcasting and Southern Ohio College, she retired from Square D Company after 24 years service in Oxford, OH and Smyrna, TN. She was also involved in the entertainment field doing commercials, videos, TV movies, and community theatre in Nashville, TN and Hamilton, OH. Jinny was an active volunteer for many charities, but especially United Cerebral Palsy, United Methodist Women, and she also served as an Ohio Reads tutor at Jefferson Elementary.
Jinny was the proud mother of Gregory (Lori) of Cody, WY; Vicki Sutton (Mark) of Fairfield Township, OH; Bill (Cathy) of Port Orange, FL; LiAnn Crowder of Columbus, OH and Rob of New York City; 10 grandchildren: Melissa, Bobby, Jonathon, Cyrus, Saygar, Tricia, Brittany, Jody, Kelli, and Joy; brothers, Harvey Fleming of Germantown, OH; Skip Fleming (Diane) of Sarasota, FL; sisters, Mary Focht (Mark) of Germantown, OH and Susan Birdsong (Bob) of Harrison, AR; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Jinny has donated her body to the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine and therefore no services will be held. Contributions can be made in Jinny's name to Jefferson Elementary School, Angel Fund, Hamilton City School District, 533 Dayton St., Hamilton, OH 45011.
