Age 88, passed away peacefully in Maryland on Saturday, August 28, 2010. She was born in Cincinnati, OH on November 9, 1921 but lived most of her life in Fairfield, OH. A devout Christian and Seventh-Day Adventist, she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ above all else. She was also a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was concerned and cared about every person she met. She is predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Joseph Esz, sisters Florence (Paul) Volle and Mary (Jim) Sullivan and nephew Steve Sullivan. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dotty and Jay Whittle of Maryland; granddaughters, Gina (Chuck) Henry of Florida and Karla (Shawn) Pitchford of Maryland, Alyssa Whittle of New York; niece, Carol Wieland of Oklahoma and nephew, Paul Volle of Ohio. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until time of service (1p.m.), Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Road, Fairfield OH, 45014.
