RYMER, Vivian Irene

Age 85 of Fairfield, OH died Monday, June 18, 2007 at University Hospital, Cincinnati. She was born May 7, 1922 in Hayden, KY, the daughter of John and Sarah (North) Hignite. She attended school in Hazard, KY and moved to Hamilton, OH in 1941. On December 9, 1942 she married James R. Rymer at First United Methodist Church in Hamilton. He preceded her in death in May 2000. She was a member of Washington Chapter No. 195 Order of Eastern Star. While her husband served as Auditor of Clermont County Ohio, she lived in Amelia where she worked for the County Recorder. Completely devoted to her family, faith, and pets; an avid gardener and natural cook. She retired in 1982 and moved to Fairfield.

She is survived by her daughters, Carol Conner of Fairfield and Beverly Sherer of Springfield, IL; grandchildren, Katherine Whalen, Margaret, and Lillian Sherer; brother, Johnny (Emma) Hignite of Tyler, TX, and beloved sister-in-law Geneva Hignite, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; an infant sister Alma Hignite; and brothers, George and Karl Hignite.

Services will be held at 2p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2007 in Rose Hill Burial Park's chapel, Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital Memphis of Cincinnati Shriner's Hospital for Children. Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, Fairfield is serving the family.
