Age 86 of Hamilton passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016 at UC-West Chester Hospital. He was born September 16, 1930 in Rose Hill, VA, the son of Charles and Maude (Campbell) Frye. Walter was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1949-1952. On February 24, 1954 he married Anna Ruth Marcum in Rose Hill, VA. Walter lived a simple life with his family, working at Mosler Safe Co., until his retirement. He enjoyed nothing more than tinkering with stuff, especially lawn mowers and being with his devoted wife, Anna and Max (his four legged buddy).
Walter leaves behind his loving wife, Anna Ruth Frye; sons, Howard and Brian “Doug” Frye; grandchildren, Aaron, Amy and Corrie Frye; great-grandchild, Tristyn and numerous siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends 11 a.m. – until time of service (11:30 a.m.), Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at:
