Walter Jackson

Walter Jackson, a resident of Fairfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2023, 10 years after the passing of his wife of 69 years, Mona Jackson.  Walter is survived by his daughter, Sharon, son-in-law Dan; grandchildren Erin and Sarah; great grandchildren William Philip, Theodore Danial, and Finnegan Jackson. Son to Amon and Druscilla Jackson and siblings Thelma, Helen and Charles. Walter proudly served in the United States Army before pursuing a long and successful career in machining, engineering, and team leadership at General Electric Aircraft Engine Division in Evendale, Ohio. He was a faithful member of East River Road Baptist Church. Walter was a kind and caring husband, father and friend. He loved to travel and explore the world with his family.  Walter’s military service took him to many points in Europe and the United States. Walter loved to tell stories and write poems to share with those closest to him. A celebration of Walter’s life will be held with a visitation on Thursday 12/7/23 from 5:00-7:00pm, with a funeral service on Friday 12/8/23 at 10:00am.  These services will be held at the Avance Funeral Home, 4976 Winton Road, Fairfield, Ohio 45014.
