Wendell Judd, age 68, passed away at Mercy Hospital in Fairfield on Monday, November 22, 2004. He was born to Martin Judd and Gladys (Stewart) Judd Farris on August 25, 1936 in Hamilton, OH. Wendell married Janice (Smith) on July 3, 1954 in Brookville, IN. He was very much a family man who loved to play his Flamenco guitar and boat on the Ohio River. Wendell provided many years of dedication and service to the Butler County Republican Party. He was a longtime member of the Party's central committee, and chairman of the Fairfield region of the B.C.R.P., a charter member of the T.I.D., as well as a member of the Benjamin Franklin Lodge No. 719, F. & A.M. Wendell was a self-employed contractor and inventor who received 3 U.S. patents in his lifetime.
Wendell is survived by his loving wife, Janice; children, Michelle Judd, Melissa (Tim) Jett, Martin Judd, Mark (Penny) Judd and Michael (Cindy) Judd; grandchildren, Jeff, Jason, Jennifer, Jessica and Kevin Judd, Melinda and Wes Jett and Shawn Reece; brothers, Tom and Ken Farris; sisters, Kathy Bowling and Linda Antal. He also leaves two special friends, Michael A. Fox and Hon. John R. Moser. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH, with Rev. James Mullins officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 24, starting at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home, followed by a Masonic Lodge service at 2:30.
