Wesley J. Bolser

Age 81 of Fairfield passed away, Monday, July 7, 2008 at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. He was born September 8, 1926 in West Chester, OH, the son of Joseph and Olive (Jackson) Bolser. On June 13, 1948 Wesley married Irene Thomay in Columbus, OH. After graduating from High School he graduated from the Ohio State University. Upon graduation, Wesley began his career of 29 years, opening the Fairfield Branch of the 2nd National Bank where he retired as Vice President.

Mr. Bolser will always be remembered for his service to others and his community. He was a working member of the following organizations:

Fairfield YMCA; Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball; Fairfield School Board; Fairfield Kiwanis; Fairfield Park and Recreation Board; Fairfield Chamber of Commerce for 23 years; and Co-owner of G.M. Engraving & One-Day Rubber Stamp Co.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Irene Bolser; children, Linda (William) Booth and Scott (Karen) Bolser; grandchildren, Heath Beckett, David Booth and Matthew Bolser; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Logan, Trevor, and Landon; and brother, Homer (Phoebe) Bolser. Wesley was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, George Hoffman and sister, Fern Schmitz.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 10, 2008 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield with David Hargrave officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at the funeral home.
