William Herman, age 73 of Fairfield passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on October 20, 2013. William was born on January 6, 1940 in Lumberton, NC to William F. and Vinolia Faulk. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Ruth in 2003 and to this union was born a son, Henry (Donna) Faulk of Cincinnati, OH. William is also survived by his grandchildren, Jason and Shannon Faulk; siblings, James (Dorris) Faulk, Lumberton, NC, Freddy Faulk, Greensboro, NC, Larry Faulk, Charlotte, NC, Doris Faulk, Anniston, AL, and Cassandra Faulk, Charlotte, NC; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers, Harold and Clarence.
William is a veteran of the Army, he was employed by International Paper as a maintenance technician until his retirement in 1999; member of VFW- American Legion Post 0888, Elks Pure Gold Lodge 591, and the Golden Leaf Temple 377.
Visitation will be Thursday October 24, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH 45014. Funeral service Friday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Don Smith officiating.
