William C. Hieb

Age 70 of Hamilton passed away Tuesday September 5, 2006 at Fort-Hamilton Hospital. He was born December 10, 1935 in Hamilton, the son of William E. "Fritz" and Ida (Dean) Hieb. For years he was a member of the Washington Lodge No. 17, F. &A.M. and was the former Fire Chief of Fairfield Township retiring in 1983. Bill later owned and operated Hiebs Bait Shop on Grand Blvd. He will always be remembered for his unique personality and his willingness to help those in need. You always knew where you stood with Bill and people respected that. He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his son, Billy (Becky) Hieb of Hamilton; daughters, Michelle Hieb of Hamilton; Gail (Neil) Phillips of Belgrade, MT; Kimberly (Jay) Jarvis of Hamilton and Tonya (Matthew) Graham of Cincinnati; sister, Juanita Gordon of Ada, OH; numerous grandchildren; and three nieces. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Ginger Powell, Kimberly Hieb and Carla Hieb; and aunt Effie Couch.

Visitation will be 2 p.m. - until time of service (4 p.m.), Sunday September 10, 2006 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield.
