William Melvin Kell

William Melvin Kell, age 80 of Fairfield, OH, passed away at 7:00 p.m., on Friday September 16th, 2005 at his residence. Bill was retired from Parker Hannifin in 1987, where he worked as a Manufacturing Engineer in St. Marys, OH. Mr. Kell was born May 29, 1925 in Mt. Vernon, IL to John C. and Lucy (Gaskill) Kell. He was Veteran of WWII, serving his country in the US Navy. On July 11, 1946 he married Mildred Campbell in Vancouver, WA. Mr. Kell was a life-time member of the American Legion and the VFW, and a member the Elks in Fairfield, IL.

Bill is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mildred Kell; son Mike (Tom Dagnesi) Kell of Trinity, FL; daughter, Kathy Kell of Cincinnati, OH; granddaughter, Sarah (Frank) Swartzel; grandsons, Ben (Staci) Brown and Nick (Carrie) Brown; great-grandchildren, Kaylie and Scott Brown all of Cincinnati; sister, Jane Campbell of Mt. Vernon, IL; and 12 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son John Patrick Kell; sister, Betty Siler; brothers, Bob and Jim Kell.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, September 24, 2005 at the Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, IL.
