MOORE, William "Bill" D.
Age 84 of Hamilton, passed away Thursday, October 09, 2008 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born May 21, 1924 in Hawkins, Co., TN, the son of William and Anna Mae Moore. On March 12, 1946 Bill married Lucille C. Williams in Blackstone, VA. He was a member of: Redeemer Church; Hugh L. Bates, No. 686 F. & A.M.; Hamilton Chapter No. 21, Royal Arch Masons; Hamilton Council, No. 19 Royal and Select Masons; Hamilton Commandery, No. 41; Washington Chapter, No. 195 Order of Eastern Star; and Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati Chapter. Bill was a Veteran of WWII, serving in the US Army Infantry, earning many commendations, including the Purple Heart.
He is survived by his daughter, Sheila Wissman-Reiterman (Gary); sister, Irene Gammon; grandchildren, Nicole Lukemire, Jonathan (Jackie) Wissman; and great-grandchildren, Maggie and Belle Lukemire and Max and Andrew Wissman. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; and wife.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. - until time of Masonic and Scottish Rite services (11:30 a.m.) followed by funeral services, Saturday, October 11, 2008 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield.
