William A. Pace

Age 77 of Fairfield passed away February 10, 2009 at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. He was born December 17, 1931 in LaFollette, TN, the son of Jack and Sarah Jane (Cloud) Pace. On April 2, 1955 William married Martha Byess in Newport, KY. He worked for Northwest Schools in the Custodial Department until his retirement in 1995. William was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. His memberships included: Disabled American Veterans and the VFW Post #1069.

Mr. Pace leaves behind his wife, Martha Pace; children, Robert A. (Anne) Pace and Angela (Bill) Murphy; grandchildren, Garett (Abbie) Pace, Amanda (Bill) Barrett, Julia Mae Pace and David James Murphy; sisters, Lillie Howard and Virgie Eversole; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Brian E. Pace and Garret A. Pace; and brother, Seymore Farmer.

Funeral services will be 12 Noon Monday, February 16, 2009 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens, Mt. Healthy. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m., Sunday, February 15 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation. Condolences may be offered at avancefuneralhome.com
