William D. Thacker
December 7, 1924 — April 28, 2011
Age 86 of Hamilton passed away Thursday, April 28, 2011. He was born December 07, 1924 in Berry, KY; the son of Denzel and Hazel (Pigg) Thacker. William married Magdalene Hoskins in Hamilton, Ohio. William joined the US Navy at the age of 17. He was a Sergeant of the Hamilton Police and later became a minister of New Miami Church of Christ.
William is survived by his wife, Magdalene Thacker; children, Michael (Debbie) Thacker and Charlotte (Jerry) Watson; grandchildren, Kelli (Mark) Provart, Mike (Ashley) Thacker, Mandy (Ricky) Lux, Chelsea Watson; and great-grandchildren, Rylie Lux, Zachery and Sophia Provart. William is preceded by his parents; and sister, Pauline Imfeld.
Funeral services will be held at Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Road, Fairfield, OH 45014, on Monday, May 02, 2011 10:30 a.m. with Dave Hargrave and Dan Knisley officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be Sunday, May 01, 2011 2 until 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
