William G. "Bill" Williams, age 77 of Hamilton passed away May 5, 2005 at his residence. He was born June 23, 1927 in Middletown, the son of George and Carrie (Stamper) Williams. On September 18, 1954 he married Rose E. Marcum in Hamilton. Bill served his country from 1945-1947 in the US Army. Upon returning from Europe he attended Middletown Business College and La Salle University obtaining a degree in Accounting. After starting his Tastee Freeze, he also began his real estate career in 1955. In 1966 he started his own office as a Broker of Bill Williams Realty. As a realtor he was a member of: Hamilton-Fairfield Board of Realtors and also was a Charter Member of the Hamilton Exchange Club. Bill was a member of The Presbyterian Church in Hamilton. Bill's goal-oriented personality allowed him to enjoy his family, his work, flying, traveling, and water sports especially snorkeling, scuba diving, and riding his Sea-Doo.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Rose Williams; sons, William Gregory (Stacey) Williams and Kurtis M (Sharon) Williams; granddaughters, Ashli M. Williams and Aubrey R. Williams; grandson John K. Williams; brother, George Williams, Jr. and Robert D. Williams; and sister Blanche Ready. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; infant son; and his mother and father in-law.
Funeral services will be 12 Noon, Monday May 9, 2005 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield with Rev. Edwin Beck officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will also be Monday from 10 a.m. - until time of service at the funeral home.
