Y. Vernece Henning

Beloved wife of Richard J. Henning for 58 years, joined our Lord May 11, 2008. She was 81. She was the devoted mother of Susan J. Effler, Daniel P. Henning, Julie A. Holt and David R. Henning. She was the loving grandmother of Ruthy Effler, Francie Effler, Kelly Henning, Katie Henning, Lauren (Holt) Cripe, Kaitlen (Holt) Grisby, Jared Holt, Megan Holt, Jesse Henning and Rachel Henning. She is also survived by her brother Jack M. Rhines of Dubois, PA and her sister Joan Carlini of Rocky Mount, NC. She had two great-grandchildren, Abby Grisby and Caleb Cripe. She enjoyed cooking and homemaking and was an active member of Pleasant Run Church of Christ. Her greatest interests, other than her family, were her church and her knitting group at Grace United Methodist Church. She was a retired Registered Nurse, last employed by Dr. Paul Kuenzig. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Hamilton. Visitations will be held 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, May 13, 2008 and 9-10 a.m., Wednesday, May 14 at the Avance Funeral Home &Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield.
