At age 93, Beatrice Lucille Lancaster, on November 17, 2020 went home to the Lord surrounded by her family. Lucille was born in Hamilton, Ohio to the late Ernest and Belle (Nicholson) Lemp. In 1948, she married Raymond E. Lancaster, II in Hamilton, Ohio.
Lucille worked many years for Butler County, first in Probate Court, issuing marriage licenses, then later in the office of the Butler County Treasurer, first under Mary C. Law, and then Carol Mosketti. She was very active in the Butler County Republican party, working on my campaigns and fund raisers, and was recognized for her years of hard work when she received the Volunteer of The Year award.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Lancaster II; parents Ernest and Belle Lemp; her brothers - Otto, Bill, Woodrow, Arnold, Laverne, Elmer, and James Lemp; and her twin sister Lorene (Lemp) Ozsvath.
Lucille is survived by her children: Raymond E. (Carol) Lancaster III, Cheryl Lancaster, Patti (Ron) Gerhardt, Dorthy (Richard) Jackson; grandchildren Kristie D. (Lancaster) Rabka, Raymond E. (Lori) Lancaster IV, Richard Jackson II; great-grandchildren Caitlin E. Jackson, Knowles T. Lancaster, Odin and Kane Rabka, Serena, Mia, and Max Lancaster, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank her wonderful and loving caregivers, Susan Richardson and Vicky Smith. Also, Heartland Hospice for their care and compassion in Lucille’s passing.
Visitation will be Tuesday November 24, 12:00pm – until time of services (1 pm) at the Avance Funeral Home, 4976 Winton Road, Fairfield Ohio, 45014. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park, 2421 Princeton Road, Hamilton Ohio, 45011 with Pastor Chuck Russell officiating. COVID-19 protocols are in effect, be advised at your discretion.
