Bernita June (nee Reed), age 84 formerly of Hamilton, OH, most recently of Morris, Illinois passed away on March 23, 2023. She was born on October 3, 1938 to the late Robert and P. Lucille (Burris) Reed.  On July 26, 1957, Bernita married Larry D. Black, who preceded her in death. They were both members of Tri-County Assembly (now New Heights Church) in Fairfield.

She is survived by her children, Debbie (George) Roebuck, Bill (Julie) Black and Dave (Mitchell) Black; 5 grandchildren, Jill (James) Weiss, Eric (Danielle) Roebuck, Melissa (Jon) Coppock, Alex (Sara) Black, and Ed (Jasmine) Black; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Ada (Marshall) Nuckolls, Kay Pennington, and Nancy (Sam) Arnold.

Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. – until time of service (12 noon), Friday March 31, 2023, at Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd. Fairfield, OH 45014 with Pastor Justin Hanson officiating.
