Beulah Blair, age 95, of Hamilton passed away on Friday March 4, 2016 at Hospice of Hamilton. She was born on February 13, 1921 in Letcher County, KY, to Mander and Martha Blair. Beulah married Charles Hampton on Sept 7, 1937 in Whitesburg, KY; he preceded her in death on June 16, 1960. She is survived by her loving children, Jerry, Paul, and Blair Hampton, Pat McBrayer, and Sara Lester; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Bobbie Edwards and Arla Sheets; numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 sons; and 2 sisters. Beulah was a nurse at Appalachian Regional Hospital until her retirement in 1985. She is a member of First Baptist Church of Hamilton. Visitation will be Thursday March 10, 2016 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., 45014. Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Clemens officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to First Baptist Church, 1501 Pyramid Hill Blvd., Hamilton 45013.
