Carl "Bogie" K. Ealy, of Davenport Florida, passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday May 4th 2021. Carl, the son of McKinley & Bertie Ealy, was born January 14th 1932 in Manchester Kentucky. Carl and Martha (Bowling) were married May 23rd 1953. Martha preceded Carl in death December 28th 2004.
Carl is Survived by his daughter Carla Story, grandchildren Craig & Kelly Erickson, great-grandchildren Aiden & Dillon, sisters Jewel Stewart & Susan Sizemore, and his significant other of 15 years Marylee Bahr.
Carl was employed by the Pilsbury Company of Hamilton Ohio for 25 years and retired at age 65 from General Electric in Evendale Ohio.
Carl was a member of the Masonic Hugh L. Bates lodge No. 686 of Hamilton Ohio, where he achieved the status of Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite N.M.J., USA.
Carl was an avid fan of U.K. basketball, you could say he bled blue, and was proud to be a Kentucky Colonel. He loved to play golf, proudly accomplishing ten hole-in-ones in his lifetime. He played softball in his earlier years. Carl also loved to travel, visiting many countries.
Bogie loved life, had the "gift of gab", and never knew a stranger.
Visitation will be 11am-12pm Wednesday May 19th 2021 with services immediately following at Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
