On November 22nd, Charles E. Runnels, Jr. passed away unexpectedly, but was reunited with his Savior and his soul mate. He had a passion for baseball and a caring and generous heart for anyone around him that needed help. He will be missed by anyone who knew him and all of those who loved him. He was an active member of Fairfield Church Of Christ and had many dear friends there. Charlie had wonderful friends and family in Ohio, as well as many other states. He will truly be missed by all of his friends and relatives. He also had a great number of relations in his extended families, all of whom he treasured.

Charlie was born In Washington Courthouse to Charles Runnels Sr., and Betty (Harbaugh) Runnels. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Karen Runnels and both his parents. He leaves behind three children, Jill Runnels (Green) and husband Eric, Jeff Runnels and wife Catina, and Chris Runnels and wife Rebecca.

Charlie had 5 Grandchildren, Jacob Green (Beth), Lucas Green (Becci), and Emily (Green) Otte (Marcus), Zachary (Chelsie) Runnels, and Amanda Runnels.
He was blessed with many great-grandchildren. Ella Green, Emma Green and Landen Green, Charleston Green, Theodore Otte, Everly Otte, Mara Otte, Kezlie Runnels, and Caliese Runnels.

A gathering of family and friends will be 5 p.m. – until time of the Celebration of Life (6 p.m.), Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield, OH   45014 with Brian Schreiber officiating.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.   The gathering and celebration will be available virtual via webcast at the site listed live, as well as recorded to be available for viewing for 90 days.
