RILEY
Edward Howard “Fast Eddie”, age 71, of Cincinnati passed away on December 6, 2020. Eddie was born on March 8, 1949 in Cincinnati to the late Robert Earl and Shirley Ann Riley (Inman).
He married Cassandra “Candy” G. Galan on June 12, 1972 in Atlanta, Georgia. They were both in the U.S. Army. SP4 Edward H Riley was a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina and SP4 Cassandra was a Personnel Specialist stationed at Ft. McClellan, Alabama. The were both transferred to the Third Army Soldiers Show at Ft. McPherson, Atlanta, Georgia as entertainers participating in shows such as Hello Dolly, Good Time Summertime, and Godspell to name a few. They also participated in many Top 40 Shows and Hospital Shows; all to entertain the troops and their families returning from the war zones. After their service, Eddie continued his music career playing music with bands all over the United States including Hawaii and Alaska. Eddie and Candy entertained for over 10 years together as Fast Eddie & The Lazy Boys. The both sang at the Book of Acts Tabernacle in Hamilton, Ohio.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Cassandra “Candy” Riley; son, Sean Edward Kealoha (Kristy) Riley; grandchildren, Kainalu Riley, Kaimakani Riley, Kaimana Riley, and Taylor Nishimoto.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Debra Riley Conway, and brother, Donald Riley. Eddie was a professional bass and guitar player, a song writer, arranger, and vocalist. He was a music teacher; teaching bass, guitar, and ukulele. Eddie was adored by his students and well respected by his colleagues.
