George Carl Embry

EMBRY

George Carl, age 81, of Fairfield passed away on November 22, 2020. He was born on February 20, 1939 in Hazard, KY to the late Owen and June Embry.

George served his country during the Vietnam War in the Navy and he returned to work at the Champion Paper Company until his retirement. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ; Hugh Bates Lodge #686 F&AM and Scottish Rite.

He is survived by his children, Carla (Robby) Rice, David (Melanie) Embry, and Geoffrey (Kim) Embry; grandchildren, Jordyn, Savannah, Brayden, Maddison, and Julius; siblings, Gary Embry and Judy Bowling; numerous other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Lorene (nee Haggard) Embry; parents, Owen and June (Wilson) Embry; wife, Sandra Embry; and sister, Ann Miller.

Visitation will be Monday, November 30, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield 45014.
