Jackson B. McCoy, age 73 of Fairfield passed away Sunday May 1, 2005. He was born May 10, 1931 in Richwood, WV, the son of Paul and Ruth (Irvin) McCoy. Jack was a Veteran of the US Air Force. He starting his career at Bendix and then became self-employed working at: Phillips 66 on Pleasant Ave.; 5 Points Pure Oil Station; Fairfield Auto Parts; High Street Auto Parts; and Eaton Ave. Auto Parts. Jack also worked for the Butler County Sherrif's Office Triad Services and YMCA.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Doris (Webster) McCoy; son, Edward McCoy of Fairfield; daughters, Sherrie McCoy of Grapevine, TX and Sandi McCoy of Indianapolis, IN; brothers, John McCoy of Hamilton, Richard McCoy of Lancaster, OH, Charlie Bill McCoy of Lancaster, OH, and Raymond McCoy of Parma, OH; sisters, Alice (Guy) Miller of Lancaster, OH, Mary McCoy of Lancaster, OH, Polly (Ted) Miller of High Pointe, NC, Mildred Sharma also of High Pointe, NC and Frances (Bob) Barker of Madison, MS. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; and in-laws, Gerald and Nona Webster.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday May 5, 2005 at the Tri-County Church of the Nazarene, 4778 Tylersville Rd. (corner of 747 and Tylersville), West Chester, OH 45069 with Pastor Dan Walters officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday May 4, at the Avance Funeral Home & Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 235 Ludlow Ave., Hamilton, OH 45011.
